Liverpool FC Mailing List - List Rules

Please follow the list rules:

1) Flame Wars and Netiquette:
*Do not post anything intended to be inflammatory, racist, xenophobic, abusive or offensive.
*If somebody else posts something with the intention of being inflammatory, abusive or offensive, and you feel the need to respond, do so by private e-mail to avoid clogging up the list. Any personal arguments should be dealt with in private, or ask the listowner (lfc-owner@egroups.com) to intervene. Children and parents use the list so please be respectful of their position.
*Remember, ignoring troublemakers is the best way to get rid of them.
*The list is not to be used for advertising, fantasy football leagues/competions or computer games, attempting to sell tickets at a profit is also prohibited.

2) Pointless Postings:
*Don't post anything that is not going to be of interest to the rest of the list.
*Don't ask for latest scores, because someone will certainly post them anyway - probably before they even see your request.
*If you have a question that can be easily answered by looking at the Web pages or some other source. Other questions or requests are of course welcome!
*Do not send unsubscribe messages to the list, use the correct procedure: lfc-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

3) Replying to postings:
*If you reply to a posting, your message goes by default to the whole list, not just to the originator. If the reply is only of interest to the originator, use private e-mail instead.
*If you want to reply to the list, avoid quoting the entire original article - edit it carefully so that you minimise repetition. Many list members pay to download their email so please be considerate.
*Avoid pointless replies like "yeah, I agree" unless you have something worthwhile to add.
*When replying to a posting please do not use your CAPS LOCK throughout your message.
*If discussing the result of a game that has taken place that day please include the word SPOILER in the subject header.

4) Signatures:
*Put a signature at the bottom of your messages containing your e-mail address, so that people can easily reply privately.
*Do not append huge ASCII drawings or other space-consuming garbage, as it clogs up the digests.

5) Web Sites:
*If promoting a website or event please don't do so repeatedly.

6) Errors:
*Things go wrong from time to time. If you receive error messages or anything else weird from the list, please inform lfc-owner@yahoogroups.com directly, rather than ask about it on the list.
*If the list goes dead and you hear nothing, it's probably broken, so don't mail to it asking what's wrong. Again, contact lfc-owner@yahoogroups.com directly.
*If your ISP uses email scanning it may reject incoming mail from the list, many listees use slang and mild adult language.
*If you are using a Free Mail service (Hotmail, Excite etc) please ensure you empty your account regularly, these services will only allow a certain amount of mail to be stored.
*When posting messages please ensure your email software is sending plain text rather than html format.
